BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Kern County district attorney Lisa Green announced that Joseph White was convicted of first-degree murder by a Kern County jury on Thursday.
Green said White brutally beat Rodney Herbert to death on June 3, 2010.
During the attack, Herbert's hands and feet were tied and he suffered numerous broken bones and extensive traumatic injuries, Green said.
White then violently assaulted Herbert after being asked to leave the apartment, Green said.
White faces life in prison when he is sentenced on Dec. 11, 2012.
