BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - An early-morning crash killed one person and injured three others after a driver crashed into a brick wall.
At about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, officers with the Bakersfield Police Department were sent to the 1500 block of East California Avenue regarding a single-vehicle crash.
Officers said they learned that a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier that was driven by 28-year-old Cody Randazzle, struck a block wall.
Randazzle sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Two passengers, 28-year-old Lawrence Johnson and 27-year-old Chris Brown Jr., received minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
A third passenger, 34-year-old Amby Dawn Henry was pronounced dead at the scene.
Although officers suspect that impaired driving may have played a role, the cause of this collision is still under investigation.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Officer Kevin Fidler at the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
