BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Fire Department responded to a fire in the 300 block of H Street around 6 a.m. on Friday, August 15.
First arriving fire crews reported a fire in the back apartment at a duplex.
As fire crews worked to put the fire out, they found a man suffering from burns over 80 percent of his body. He was treated and transported to San Joaquin Community Hospital.
The 57-year-old man died from the injuries on Tuesday, August 26.
