Man found dead in dirt field in Rosamond

ROSAMOND, Calif. - Sheriff's are investigating a suspicious death of an unknown man after his body was found in a dirt field Tuesday evening.
On Jan.15, at about 5 p.m., Rosamond Sub-station deputies went to investigate a man down in a dirt field, near Poplar Street in Rosamond.
When deputies arrived, they said officials found a deceased man laying on the ground.
Detectives went to the scene and began an investigation.
The man has not yet been identified and an autopsy will be scheduled to attempt to determine cause and manner of death.
The investigation is ongoing.
