BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Kern County Sheriff's Deputies said they arrived at the 1700 block of Flower street to find a 37-year-old Hispanic male lying in the street, stabbed and unresponsive.

Deputies said that on February 15, around 5 p.m.,  the man was taken to the Kern Medical center but later died from his injuries.

Officials said that homicide detectives later took over the ongoing investigation.

Officials further said that there are no suspects or descriptions at this time and it is unknown if the stabbing was gang related.

The sheriff's office asks that if anyone has any information to call secret witness at 661-322-4040.
