BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -

A man was found suffering from several gunshot wounds early Saturday morning.

On Dec. 29, at about 10 a.m., Bakersfield Police Department officers went to a house on Virginia Avenue regarding a shooting.

When officers arrived, they said they found 26-year-old Kenneth Kemp sitting in his vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.

After investigation, officers said that Kemp was allegedly traveling west on Virginia Avenue when he was shot at multiple times.

The suspect's vehicle was described as a white or cream colored car, last seen south on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Kemp was taken to Kern Medical Center where he is being treated.

Officers believe this is possible gang involvement in the shooting and are investigating.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is urged to contact the Bakersfield Police Department.
