BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A man that had stab wounds was found and chased into a trailer park on Saturday night.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office received a report of a possible stabbing at the Star Liter Motel on South Union Avenue at about 7:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, witnesses told deputies that the man went south.  Deputies attempted to call out to the suspected injured man, but he ran from officers and led them to a trailer park.

Deputies followed the man into a small shed, where they found him bleeding from his abdomen.

The man provided a name and date of birth before he was taken to a hospital.

The victim was later identified as 25-year-old Jose Gonzales. Gonzales has outstanding warrants for a violation of post release supervision and possession of a controlled substance.

Gonzales' conditions are not life threatening and the investigation continues.
