WASCO, Calif. -

On March 22, a Wasco resident interrupted a burglary in progress at her home on 1st Street in Wasco.

The three suspects fled the area in a white convertible Ford Mustang.  As they were fleeing the suspects ran a stop sign at 2nd Street and F Street colliding with a Chevrolet Pick-up, making both vehicles inoperable.

According to police, the three suspects fled on foot.

A Wasco resident found two of the suspects and detained them until law enforcement arrived on scene.  19-year-old Jesse Carranza and a 17-year-old juvenile, from Earlimart, were detained by deputies.

An extensive search of the area was conducted and the third suspect was not found.

Through the course of the investigation, stolen property from the residential burglary was located in the vehicle driven by the suspects.

Carranza and the 17-year-old were arrested for residential burglary, possession of stolen Property, and criminal conspiracy.  Carranza was also booked on additional charges of hit and run and a felony weapons charge.

Both were on probation out of Tulare County.
