BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - According to officials a man approached a house and knocked on the resident's home asking for help because he had been shot.
On Wednesday, at about 12:30 a.m., a victim of a gun shooting knocked on the front door of a home on William F Halsey Avenue in Central Bakersfield and said he had been shot.
Officials said he later collapsed in the home's front yard.
He was taken to Kern Medical Center with moderate to major injuries.
Officers say it appears he was shot at another location on the same street.
