Man sentenced after deadly crash on Highway 166

UPDATE (Sept. 18, 6:04 p.m.): Jerald Brandon Holman was sentenced to 30-years-to-life for his involvement in a 2016 DUI crash that killed two children.

It was earlier reported that Holman's first name is Brandon.

UPDATE (Sept. 18, 2:30 p.m.): Brandon Holman was sentenced to 30-years-to-life for his involvement in a DUI crash that killed two children.

Holman pleaded no contest last month to two counts of murder and one felony count of driving under the influence.

Brandon Holman took a deal today after driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level about .08% and charged with second degree murder in the death of two children, ages 4 and 7 who were passengers in the car he was driving. 

The vehicle crash on Highway 166 in rural San Luis Obispo County on September 9, 2016. 

 According to the DA, he will be serving 30 years to life and will be sentenced on September 18, 2017.
