A man found stabbed in the chest is recovering at a local hospital and the suspect is still on the loose.
At about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, deputies were sent to the Longbranch Saloon at 907 North Chester Avenue regarding a victim of a stabbing.
Deputies said they found a 30-year-old man inside the bar suffering from a single stab wound to the chest.
The victim had been a patron in the bar and had left through the rear door into the alley.
A short time later, the victim re-entered the bar through the alley after being stabbed, deputies said.
The victim was possibly in an argument with the suspect inside the bar before they both left, according to deputies. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The victim is stable, and his injuries are non-life threatening at this time.
There is no suspect information.
