BAKERSFIELD, Calif -
A man was arrested after surrendering himself for connection to the death of Angel Avila in July.
On Thursday, at about 8:30 p.m., Alejandro Vizcarra surrendered himself and was arrested for connection in the murder of Angel Avila on July 27.
He was booked into the Kern County Jail for murder, possession of a firearm by a felon and participation in a criminal street gang.
On July 27, Avila was approached by a group, when one pulled out a gun and fired several rounds into his chest. Avila was transported to Kern Medical Center where he died a short time later.
