Man wanted after stabbing in Wasco

Victim suffers stab wound to head

WASCO, Calif. -  

A suspect is wanted after a man was found with a stab wound to his head on Saturday evening in Wasco.

On Dec. 8, at about 6:20 p.m., deputies from the Sheriff’s Wasco Substation went to 1750 Poplar Avenue in Wasco on a report of a stabbing. 

When they arrived, officials said they found 26-year-old Marcus Cardenas suffering from a stab wound to his head. 

Officials said Cardenas was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is scheduled to be released soon. 

During the investigation, deputies learned 20-year-old Juan Alvarado got into an argument with Cardenas.

At some point after the argument began, officials said Alvarado stabbed Cardenas on the head.  Alvarado fled before deputies arrived and has not been located. 

Deputies are seeking Alvarado for questioning on this incident.
