Man wanted for colliding into police car in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -  

A man is wanted after he collided with a police patrol car on South H Street Saturday morning.

On Jan. 12, at about 2 a.m., officers from the Bakersfield Police Department were on South H Street at Hwy 58 in a patrol car. 

A vehicle traveling on Brundage Lane, at a high rate of speed, failed to negotiate a turn onto South H Street.  The vehicle struck the center divider and collided with the officers.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot. 

The driver is described as a black male adult, early 20’s, 5’6”, 150 pounds, wearing a black/gray hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans. 

Both officers sustained minor injuries and were treated and released from a local hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
