Man wanted for liquor store robbery in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for robbery.

On Jan. 20, at about 7:30 p.m., officers of the Bakersfield Police Department went to the Southside Liquors Store on Wilson Road regarding a robbery.

Upon arrival, officers learned the suspect demanded cash and physically assaulted the store employee.

Officials said the suspect then reportedly fled the business with an unknown amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 years old, 5-foot-11 to 6-feet tall, 185 to 200 pounds, wearing a black and white striped beanie hat, black coat and black pants.

Anyone with information is urged to call the BPD at 327-7111.
