FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. -  

A dead man was found off the road in Fresno County. Officials said he was run over by a truck driver who was making overnight frost protection preparations in a citrus grove. 

On Saturday February 9, 2013, at around 11 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said they got a call that there was an accident that involved a car and a man on North Polk and West Whitesbridge, Fresno County. 

Officials said when they arrived, the man was confirmed to be dead. 

Officials said that the man was dead before being run over by the truck. This death is being investigated as a homicide. 

Overnight detectives said they identified the man as 19-year-old Humberto Nunez of Reedley.  

Officials said Nunez’  was last seen in the area of “F” St. between 15 th and 16 thStreets in the City of Reedley and was seen leaving the area about 2 hours before he was found dead 30 miles away in Fresno County.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to please call the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office at 559-488-3111, or Crime Stoppers at 559-498-STOP(7867).
