Marines support local children with annual toy drive

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Our local Marines have been busy collecting toys for local less fortunate children for the 65th annual Toys For Tots toy drive.

According to 1st Sgt. Paul Gonzalez over 8,000 children have already applied for gifts this holiday season and they are expecting another 1,000 applicants before Christmas.

Gonzalez says toys for infants are currently the most needed.

There are over 100 locations all around Kern County where you can drop off your unwrapped toys. For a list of some of the local drop off sites you can click on the link below.

The final toy distribution will be on December 15th at the local Marine's headquarters at 4201 Chester Avenue.
