PORTERVILLE, Calif. - A 19-year-old teen was arrested Monday evening after allegations were brought up that he had molested a 5-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl.

Detectives from the Porterville Police Department were conducting an investigation into allegations that two young children had been molested approximately five years ago.

At that time, the victims were a 5-year-old male and an 6-year-old female.

Officials said that both the boy and girl told them that 19-year-old Cristian Rodriguez had molested them several times over an approximate three year period of time.

The victims were interviewed with the assistance of the Tulare County Child Abuse Response Team.

Detectives were later able to locate Rodriguez, who resides in McFarland, and he was subsequently interviewed regarding his involvement in this incident.

Based on the investigation and subsequent interview, Rodriguez was arrested and transported to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, where he was booked on charges of Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child and Oral Copulation.
