Millions of cars expected to hit the roadways this holiday season

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - According to AAA more than 93 million people will be traveling this holiday season and 90 percent of those travelers will be driving.
The average vacation destination will be more than 50 miles away according to experts.
One contributing factor to this boost in travel is the drop in gas prices. AAA says by the end of the year you can expect prices to be between $3.20 to $3.40.
Holiday travelers are more willing to spend their holiday bonus' on travel this year, according to AAA, travelers will spend more than $759, that's a six percent increase from last year.
Starting Friday the CHP will be keeping a close eye on drivers as they kickoff the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" crackdown on drunk drivers.
