Mission shelter in need of blankets for winter months

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Lonnie Heath Shelter of the Mission Kern County houses hundreds of homeless each night.

Cold weather is just around the corner, and the shelter need blankets to keep clients warm.

The Mission is located at 821 East 21st Street. Donations can be made there.

The Mission at Kern County is the largest provider of comprehensive homeless and addiction recovery services in the Bakersfield area.
