More studies needed to determine Bakersfield baby death

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A baby that was found unresponsive in her Bakersfield home this weekend was identified.

On Sunday, July 14, at about 10:00 a.m., officers with the Bakersfield Police Department went to a home on Dawson Falls in Bakersfield regarding an unresponsive infant, later identified as two-month-old Peace Crossley.

When officers arrived the baby was determined to be dead.

On Tuesday, July 16, at postmortem examination was completed and the coroner said the cause and manner of death are pending further laboratory studies.
