BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - During Alexis Dixon's arraignment Wednesday, she pleaded not guilty to first degree murder and assault of a child under 8 resulting in death.
The mother faced murder charges nearly four years after her 4-year-old son died under suspicious circumstances.

Alexis Dixon was the only person around when Mark Dixon received his injuries, documents said.
The sheriff's office told 23ABC Dixon was arrested Monday on an outstanding warrant.
