A mother and 3 year old daughter were attacked by a man while walking near their house on Yellowstone Dr. late Thursday evening.

Kern County Sheriffs were seen knocking on neighbors doors nearby the attack, still investigating the incident, and still looking for the attacker.

23ABC spoke with the victim's friend who found her, clinging to a log in a ditch off the side of the road. She was shaken up and her clothes were ripped, including her undergarments. She told her friend her daughter's screams scared off the attacker.

Pine Mountain Club residents Ron Coleman and Deborah Dion spoke with 23ABC early Friday morning and said "I mean it’s very frightening, we’ve had a terrible incident. And it’s not too far from the house. And they haven’t found the person”.
