BAKERSFIELD. Calif. - A brand new survey out Monday morning says Bakersfield gas prices have dropped by nearly a cent since last week according to GasBuddy.com.
Unfortunately our prices still overshadow the national average by 27 cents.
This comes at a time when America is producing domestic oil at a record-breaking pace of 7.4 million barrels a day, nearly twice as much as five years ago.
The reason you are still getting frustrated over the cost of fuel is the lack of proper pipelines to get that gas to a pump near you.
According to experts, prices won't start to sink until the fall.
