BAKERSFIELD - Nine people were displaced after a fire that destroyed two apartment units early Tuesday morning.
The victims of the fire said a neighbor helped everyone to safety before fire crews arrived at the fire on Q Street and Columbus Road at about 2:20 a.m.
Three units were evacuated. The two upstairs units were destroyed. The two bottom units only had minor damage.
