BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A local woman is concerned that she will be stranded when the new GET Bus route changes take effect on Oct. 7. 

A GET official said they are readjusting routes to serve the areas that need the buses more often.

For instance, officials said the Stockdale High School GET bus route will be eliminated because it's so rarely used. Allowing the buses to be shifted to areas where they are needed.

The funding from the County and State is flat.  So they are trying to stay in the black by ensuring the buses they have are full of passengers.

But, this means the people who live along routes that have changes are out of luck.
