BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The world's leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment has built a major distribution center near the base of the Grapevine.
Caterpillar is scheduled to hold a grand opening ceremony for a new parts distribution center this morning, at 11:30 a.m.
It's part of the Tejon Ranch commerce center, off Wheeler Ridge Road along I-5.
The 400,000 square foot facility will employ 150 people.
