An opening of a new dollar store will provide 40 new jobs to the Bakersfield community and prizes for potential shoppers.
Dollar General will celebrate the opening of its new Dollar General Market location at 13539 in 401 Union Avenue this Saturday, May 18 at 8 a.m. with free prizes and special deals.
Dollar General Market will offer 401 Union Avenue residents a convenient new place to shop for groceries and everyday essentials.
Additionally, the first 100 adult shoppers at the store will receive a $10 Dollar General gift card and the first 200 shoppers will receive a Dollar General tote bag, among other giveaways.
“Dollar General is committed to delivering a pleasant shopping experience that includes a convenient location, a wide assortment of merchandise and great prices on quality products,” said Gayle Aertker, Dollar General’s senior vice president of real estate and store development. “We hope our 401 Union Avenue customers will enjoy shopping at Dollar General’s new DG Market location.”
