BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A local senior center is opening up a new facility.
"The Grove" at Rosewood Senior Living Community is a new memory care facility scheduled to open soon.
Officials say the center is a response to a growing need for Alzheimer and Dementia care in Bakersfield.
More than 9,000 people in Kern County have some type of Dementia and Rosewood officials expect that number to more than double in the next two decades.
