New Bakersfield group aimed at Hispanics advancing professionally

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A group of Cal State Bakersfield alumni, along with others, are introducing a new group to Bakersfield.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held for the new group, the National Society of Hispanic MBAs.

The NSHMBA is a professional organization that is dedicated to building and advancing Hispanic leadership, advocating the pursuit of higher education and providing its members with world-class career management programs.

The Bakersfield chapter will be hosting several professional development events, networking mixers, and corporate recruiting events throughout the year.

The organization has chapters in 39 cities across the U.S., and Puerto Rico, boasting a membership body of nearly 21,000.

The ribbon cutting will be held at 6:30 p.m., at the Prospect Lounge in the Padre Hotel at 1702 18th Street.
