BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -
Upcoming construction for the Westside Parkway and preliminary surveying for the Centennial Corridor Project will require nighttime lane closures and/or delays through next week between Feb. 10-14.
Coffee Road
Alternating northbound lanes of Coffee Road, from Truxtun Avenue to Brimhall Road, will be closed at night beginning Feb. 12-14. The closures will remain in effect between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
The closures will allow the contractor for the Westside Parkway to continue installation of a storm drain.
At least one northbound lane will be open at all times. Southbound lanes will not be impacted at this time.
All lanes are expected to re-open in time for the morning commute.
State Route 99
Nighttime lane closures will continue on State Route 99 next week between February 10-11.
Drivers are advised to anticipate alternating southbound lane closures on State Route 99 between the Ming Avenue and White Lane interchanges. The closure will be in effect between the hours of 8:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m.
Northbound lanes will not be impacted at this time. All lanes are expected to open in time for the morning commute.
The closures will allow crews to drill for soil samples in support of the preliminary engineering and environmental work underway for the Centennial Corridor Project.
Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through this area, and to watch for construction equipment and personnel that may be entering or leaving the roadways.
