BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Nordstrom Rack is coming to the Shops at River Walk, but shoppers may have to wait for some time.
Nordstrom announced the store Tuesday. The approximately 35,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open in spring 2015.
Nordstrom Rack has a wide selection of apparel, accessories and shoes at 30-70 percent off regular prices.
"We have a lot of stores in California, but until now we haven't had the opportunity to serve customers in Bakersfield," said Geevy Thomas, president of Nordstrom Rack. "This additional location will make it more convenient for customers who have been driving over 100 miles to shop with us. We look forward to bringing them a local store that will offer many of the same great brands we carry at Nordstrom but at significant savings."
Located just south of the Westside Parkway and west of Calloway Drive on Stockdale Highway, The Shops at River Walk, a planned 48 acre 500,000-square-foot mixed use development, will offer an excellent mix of fashion, specialty retail, and dining options amongst other retail and office choices.
