DELANO, Calif. -
A Delano man was arrested after officials seized over $54,000 and meth from his house.
Narcotics investigators from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office received information that people living in a house in the 1600 block of 20th Street in Delano were involved in drug sales.
Shortly after 12:00 p.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 4, detectives assigned to the KCSO Major Violator Unit, California Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team, and the Kern Narcotics Enforcement Team went to the home, which is near Princeton Elementary School to investigate the allegations.
At the house, they found 23-year-old Gerardo Bacilio and during a search of the house, investigators found about 5.25 ounces of meth as well as other evidence of drug sales. They also seized $54,700 in US currency, which they believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.
Bacilio was arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sales, transportation of drugs, maintaining a house for the purpose of drug sales, and for drug sales within 1000 feet of an elementary school.
