One arrested in Oildale after dozens of guns seized by DOJ, more seized in San Bernardino Counties

OILDALE, Calif. - Inside a home on Beardsley Avenue in Oildale, the Department of Justice seized dozens of rifles, hand guns and assault weapons Tuesday.

It is just a fraction of the 350 guns seized by the state agents in Bakersfield and Riverside.

Alvin Seal, 67, was arrested on suspicion of trafficking the illegal firearms.

"They are fairly easy-going people," said Carla Keaton, who moved out of the Oildale home in 2013. "They help people when they need it."

One of the people at the home raided on Beardsley was none to happy to see 23ABC.

The DOJ also arrested 39-year-old Erik Stoffel in San Bernardino County.

A spokesman for the DOJ said during their investigation, guns were sold to undercover agents, but would not give further details.
