One dead after Semi v. pedestrian

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Around 5:40am Thursday morning a man in his 60's was hit and killed on I-5 two miles north of Old River Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP says the man pulled over on the side of the road and was wandering in the middle of the freeway when he was fatally struck by a Semi-trailer truck.
The Semi pulled over and flagged down an officer and reportedly told him "I think I hit something, but I'm not sure".
Upon further investigation, officers found the deceased on the side of the road more than twenty feet away from his parked car, said investigators.
