'One Less Spark, One Less Wildfire' program to inform community about fire dangers

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Local fire officials are hoping to cut down on wildfires by educating Kern County residents about fire prevention.
The campaign is called “One Less Spark, One Less Wildfire,” and it's being put on by the Kern County Fire Department, the Bureau of Land Management, the National Park Service and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
The program it starts Friday morning at 11 a.m. at the main entrance to Hart Park.
