Man killed in late night crash on Ming Avenue identified

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - One person has been killed in a late night accident in southwest Bakersfield.

The accident, which involved a car and a motorcycle, happened at 10:05 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Ming Avenue and Akers Road.

Bakersfield police officers arrived and found a red Mitsubishi sedan had collided with a black Kawasaki motorcycle.

Investigation revealed the driver of the sedan, Isaac Rosete, 22 of Bakersfield was traveling westbound on Ming Avenue and was turning southbound on Akers Road.

The motorcycle was eastbound on Ming Avenue and collided with the passenger side of the sedan.

The driver of the motorcycle, 19-year-old Shaquille Hall, was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Rosete remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to have contributed to this collision.
