BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - One teenager is dead and five others are injured after an off-road dirt accident south of Round Mountain Road, just north of Lake Ming.
The California Highway Patrol said two female passengers and one male passenger were inside a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, while two male passengers were riding in the bed of the pickup.
The driver of the pickup made a left turn and lost control of his vehicle, causing it to roll over onto its right side. As his vehicle rolled, the CHP said, both passengers in the bed of the pickup were ejected. One male passenger died due to his injuries, while the other sustained only minor injuries.
All the other passengers sustained minor injuries as well.
The driver of the pickup along with another male passenger was transported to Kern Medical Center.
