Panama Lane off-ramp of Highway 99 to close for one week

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announces scheduled full closure of the Panama Lane off ramp on southbound State Route 99, in Kern County next week to allow construction crews to complete work on the current auxiliary lane and widening project.

The following closure is scheduled to begin next week:

Southbound State Route 99, Panama Lane off ramp will close beginning Wednesday, November 13 through Wednesday, November 20. 

This closure will be 24 hours per day for the full week long closure.  Motorists will need to take an alternate route.

Closures may continue for longer periods of time if necessary, due to delays caused by weather or uncontrollable events that may occur during construction. 

Caltrans Construction workers remind you to drive with extra care and allow additional travel time while travelling in the Kern County area. 

Please be alert for crews and "Slow for the Cone Zone."
