Papa John's pizzeria robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield Police officers are searching for a pair of suspects following a late-night pizzeria robbery in East Bakersfield.

The robbery happened just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Papa John's Pizza store in the 1500 block of Columbus Street.

According to Bakersfield Police officials, two men walked into the business -- including one man armed with a gun -- and demanded cash.

Workers handed over an unknown amount of money, and the suspects fled on foot.

No one was injured.

The suspects are only described as a Hispanic man and a Black man -- both 19-to-21 years old.
