Parent still unable to transfer children out of district after bullying accusations
Two districts have barred her children

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield mom took her kids out of Beardsley Elementary because, she said, she feared for their safety.
Jennifer David is still trying to find a school that will take her kids.
David has tried to enroll her three kids at two different school districts since she pulled them out of Beardsley, but so far there is no room.
“It's getting very frustrating, I am fighter,” David said. “I'm ready to keep this going for my kids.”
The only district with room so far is the district she has been trying to leave.
David contacted 23ABC last spring after she said her daughter was bullied by another parent on school grounds.
David said school officials ignored her concerns.
Then David asked for a transfer out of that school.
After she was granted that transfer by the Beardsley School District, David tried to enroll her kids into Standard and Rosedale Union Districts, and was denied at both.
David said her kids felt unwanted with no place to go.
“I want to go to school, any school that can take me,” David’s kid said.
We contacted both districts and were told there no room for transferring students at any of their schools.
“If you live in their district they have room for you but if you don't they can't seem to find a way to make everybody happy,” David said.
Kern County Superintendent of Schools said David can appeal the denial process, but that would not be reviewed by officials until October.
David has looked into private and online schools but either out of her price range or not a good fit, and she is running out of options.
Until the Superintendent of Schools can look into the appeal of Standard's denial, David is in the process of enrolling her kids at a different school in the Beardsley District.
