OILDALE, Calif. - Parents face a traffic jam went the bell rings at an Oildale school, releasing students.
Wingland Elementary School has 730 students and every parent is there at the same time.
Parents say the lot comes to a stand-still. Cars who are waiting to get their kids are blocked by those who have already picked them up.
The school has looked into other options to ease the traffic flow, but the best advice is to parents is to wait just a few minutes after 2:30 to pick up their kids.
This traffic congestion does not happen in the morning, because the start time is staggered for many students.
Administrators said Wingland is not the only school that deals with this problem in the afternoon.
