Parody Barbie dolls poke fun at Kern County women, regions

A parody of Kern County women has some nodding in agreement and others scratching their heads.

A 2007 blog post about "Kern County Barbies" pokes fun at women in different areas of the county, including Taft, Oildale and Rosedale.

The images are manipulated depictions of Barbie dolls that include different vehicles, clothing and accessories. There are descriptions of the images, like the following:

"Tehachapi Barbie"
This doll is made of actual tofu. She has long straight brown hair, arch-less feet, hairy armpits, no makeup and Birkenstocks with white socks. She prefers that you call her Willow. She does not want or need a Ken doll, but if you purchase two Barbies and the optional Subaru wagon, you get a rainbow flag bumper sticker for free. She works at Costco, eats lunch at Luigi's on Saturday's and goes to Pyrenees for drinks.

See all of the parodies here.

The post became popular after a Reddit post Sunday.
