BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A Bakersfield group took star-spangled vehicles on the first annual Patriots Run Saturday.
The Patriots Run supports veterans, defense of the Constitution and renounced corruption in the government, according to organizers.
The gathering began with the Pledge of Alligance to the United States.
The ride started at Boughton Road, west of Airport Drive and wound through northwest, south and central Bakersfield. The route was 40.1 miles.
"We want to show our support for our military, truckers, biker brothers and fight for what's right in America," said George Cavaness, the organizer of the Patriots Run.
Canvaness said they will hold another Patriots Run in the spring.
