OILDALE, Calif. - A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in the Oildale area.
On Nov. 30, at about 7:47 p.m., Irma Blaauw, 62, was driving westbound on Roberts Lane from Central Avenue in her 2001 Honda Accord.
Officials said that a pedestrian walked into the westbound lanes from an unknown direction.
The pedestrian was then struck by the vehicle causing major head trauma.
Officials said the victim was taken to Kern Medical Center by Hall Ambulance.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the hospital.
