BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield police have confirmed that 50-year-old Paul White was killed near Golden State Highway when a train collided with him.
At about 10 a.m., Kern County fire firefighters and Bakersfield police were called out to Golden State Highway and 30th Street regarding a train that had collided with a person.
Police said they arrived at about 10:15 a.m. and said the mile-long train had stopped on the tracks.
Police and firefighters started surveying the area and noticed the body on the tracks near the Golden Empire Gleaners on 30th Street.
