BAKERSFIELD - Around 10:22 p.m. Sunday, May 18, the Kern County Sheriff's Office responded to the 1300 block of Cottonwood Road in southeast Bakersfield regarding a shooting.
Deputies located a male juvenile victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Deputies say the victim did not cooperate and would not provide them with any information regarding the shooting.
Deputies found out that a second male juvenile victim was taken to Kern Medical Center in a vehicle before they got to the scene. That victim suffered from a gunshot wound to his lower back and was also uncooperative, according to deputies.
The victims' injuries were not life threatening.
Deputies say both victims were shot in the Camellia Village apartment complex, and they tried to question several witnesses but all witnesses at the scene were also being uncooperative.
