BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - PG&E is getting ready to tear down a local structure and everyone is invited to come out and watch the demolition.
According to the Californian, the company is planning to demolish the last remaining structure at the old Kern power plant on August 3, at 5 a.m.
The plant is located west of Coffee Road, just south of Rosedale Highway, and they're working with the Bakersfield Police Department to shut down a portion of traffic along Coffee Road that morning.
PG&E plans on selling the site for re-development after the demolition is complete.
