BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield residents are advised of loud noises and smell of gas that might be heard and smelled throughout Sunday in the Easter part of Kern County.
PG&E will be conducting pressure tests on Sunday to ensure that the gas pipelines from Northern to Central California are safe.
The testing will take place near Ridgecrest and will require traffic controls. P&G said people can expect to hear loud steady noises and a strong smell of gas.
But, they said, if residents are concerned with the smell of the gas, you can call them at 1-800-743-5000.
