A pig escaped from a trailer on Stockdale Highway and now the owner is searching for the pig.
Madison Trammell and her family were driving near the intersection of Stockdale Highway and California Avenue Sunday night when another driver told them the back of their trailer was open.
The pig, known as "precious" recently took home the top prize over the weekend at the Kern County Fair -- right before it vanished.
When Trammell realized that precious was gone, she called the police.
Witnesses told police that two men in a blue pick-up truck took the pig.
Madison is asking whoever has the pig to bring her back.
Trammell said, "She had a future. I bought her with my own money from previous years and we were going to breed her. She was going to become a mom."
Madison hoped to continue the family line -- as precious was the offspring of her last pig that died after complications during birth.
